Everyday is a new adventure

Tall one and Small one met in New Zealand, in the kiwi fruit orchards of Tauranga back in early 2009. From there spent 2 years travelling across Australia together; penniless in Sydney, 15 hour shifts in a Blue Mountains Hotel, picking Blueberries with spiders in Coff's Harbour – watermelons with snakes in Charters Towers, pushing their campervan, 'Tony' through the flood waters of Miriam Vale, breaking down in every state through the outback, and working and drinking side by side in an Irish Pub and Backpackers in Melbourne.

Across the globe through Vietnam, Thailand & Moscow before spending a year in Canada; through the seasons in Toronto, 35 hour Greyhound buses across the provinces, dog sledding in the Rocky Mountains, shovelling 3 foot snow in the Yukon, Kayaking in Haida Gwaii, sharing a beer among the icebergs of Newfoundland and spotting whales in Nova Scotia.

Before returning to New Zealand in Oct 2012 to live the beach life in Mount Maunganui, experience the earthquakes of Wellington and finally getting married on Te Ahumairangi Hill, Wellington in Oct 2013. Finally on 2nd Oct 2013 they embarked on an 80 day honeymoon back across the globe, through the south island of New Zealand, up to Singapore, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and finally through north India before returning to Ireland, where they are now attempting to make a home in Galway. Many miles travelled together, many sights shared together, everyday is the start of a new adventure.

Update time:

Well believe it or not Barno does have a job. So after 6 weeks of doing NOTHING he has returned to work and is back builing the house. It kind of reminds me of an old Irish saying....The house that Jack built!!! Yes he never did finish it did he?!!

As for Honey Bunny!!! Well honey Bunny is so happy that we are moving away, he can't stop celebrating. Yes he has been pissed for a full month now.

As for me. Well I've had to get a second job to help me along with the savings. I would like to point out that being a lady is great fun and the men pay me lots of cash......lol.

Tip of the day!

Well Paddy and I are finding it very hard trying to save money for the trip. So we came up with a plan of making some money. Some real fast money is what we needed. There was only gonna be one way to get it.
So off we went. €120 between us. The plan was to put all the money on one horse, but Paddy had a good plan that we put €20 on a horse called Mick's Dancer. If he won we'd make our €120 back before we put on some real money. So the out come of that race was:
Ya thats it. MONEY DOWN THE F**K**G DRAIN.
Anyways not too worry, we still had €100. We were NOT gonna lose that amount. So we picked the favorite. 3/1 €100 on a win.

Tip of the day - DON'T GAMBLE

p.s I did tell Paddy to go each way on BOTH races. Had he of done that we'd be up 1k!!!!

Joke of the day

A Cuban, a Scot, a Romanian, and an Irishman are sharing a carraige on a train. The Cuban lights up this enormous cuban cigar. About 12 inches long, worth about 800 pound. Takes one short drag from it and flings the cigar out the window. The other three look at him in amazement and ask why he just threw out a full cuban cigar. He replies, "I'm from Cuba, I have thousands of those things back home". A few minutes later the Scot pulls out a litre bottle of Bells, Whiskey,a 50 years old bottle, worth a fortune. He takes a short measure glass, half fills it, knocks it back and flings the remainder of the bottle out the window. The other three in shock, ask him why he just threw away a near full bottle of fine malt scottish whiskey, he replies, "I'm Scottish, I have thousands of those things at home". A few minutes later, the Irishman throws the Romanian out the window.

09-10-08 No turning back.

I would like to leave this city. This old town don’t smell too pretty and I can feel the warning signs running around my mind. And when I leave this island I’ll book myself into a soul asylum And I can feel the warning signs running around my mind. So here I go still scratching around the same old hole. My body feels young but my mind is very old. So what do you say? You can’t give me the dreams that are mine anyway. You’re half the world away. Half the world away. Half the world away. I’ve been lost I’ve been found but I don’t feel down And when I leave this planet, y’know I’d stay but I just can’t stand it and I can feel the warning signs, running around my mind And if I leave this spirit, find mea hole and I will fill it and I can feel the warning signs, running around my mind. So here I go still scratching around in the same old hole. My body feels young but my mind is very old. So what do you say? You can’t give me the dreams that are mine anyway. You’re half the world away. Half the world away. Half the world away. I’ve been lost I’ve been found but I don’t feel down. No I don’t feel down. No I don't feel donw. I don’t feel down. I don't feel down.

07-10-08 The conclusion of the Thailand meeting:

Today the Three Amigos met to start planning the trip to Thailand. As you can see from the photo Barno the Muppet never turned up so we cloned a slimmer version of him. We really got more craic out of the Muppet than what we did from speaking to Barno on MSN. Any hows here is the plan for Thailand. We leave Ireland on Jan 27th and land in Bangkok on the 28th. We are gonna stay in a hostel for 2 nights. Its called......wait for it.......its called Lub D Bangkok!!! CLASS! After 2 days of pissing about and drinking we will then work 3 days in the Bangkok Orphanage, which we really can't wait for. Then its on up North to Chiang Mai to see what Thailand looked like 20 years ago, they say the north has not changed at all so it should be real good. The full moon beach party is on in the South Islands on 10th Feb so we will work our way down from the North for that. So thats the conclusion for now. All we need now is a passport for Barno the Muppet and off the 4 of us go!

Who shot the Leprechaun?

The other day I up loaded photos of The Three Amigos. Since then people keep asking me if Honey Bunny the Leprechaun was a fictional character or a real Leprechaun. For some reason the photo below made people think he was fictional. So above you can see a real photo of Honey Bunny the Leprechaun. I hope this puts all your minds to rest. I really can't belive you all thought Barno and I had a fictional friend!!

Life is not all about you and I having fun. Lets help the ones who need it.

Today The Three Amigos got asked to lend a helping hand in a Bangkok Orphanage and of course the 3 of us said YES right away. I can't think of a better way to start off our trip.

The Three Amigos

Well that's us. The Three Amigos, Hedgo, Barno & Honey Bunny the Leprechaun. On Monday 29th Sept we booked our flights. We set off on Jan 27th. We head to Thailand for 3-4 weeks before then heading to Auckland. My plan is to spend 2 years in New Zealand before heading of to OZ for 2 years. Its only a wee plan, I'm sure it will change lots. The Three Amigos shall be meeting this Tuesday the 7th to plan the Thailand trip, so if any of you have any good ideas please let us know. Cheers guys.

Its official. Ireland is in the grip of a recession!

Well guys the Celtic Tiger has been good to us. As you all know though, all good things must come to an end. So what should I do to get through it? Get a part time job? Go homeless? Go begging on the streets of Dublin with the other 100,000 boys and girls? NO! I have a plan. Move to Auckland, New Zealand.
